Repeated Info:

Lunch Accounts:

Letters were sent home to students that are carrying a negative balance. It is important to make sure these balances get paid. We are asking for parents to make sure your student has lunch money on their account. We will no longer accept lunch charges for the remainder of the year. It is important to please send in your breakfast or lunch money.

If you have any questions please call: Mrs. Bires @ 419-691-4651 ext. 1630

Field Day/Olympic Day Update from Mrs. Phillips:

This year, our annual NEO picnic and Field/Olympic days are for STUDENTS ONLY. With the school year ending early in May, our dates were limited so both events were scheduled without rain dates. Both events will happen within our school grounds with lunch being served from the cafeteria and events being held behind the school buildings. Space and parking are limited. In the event of rain, activities will be moved to the gym with one grade level participating at a time. Next year, we will resume back to our traditional events where parents and families will be invited. Thank you for your understanding.

We have many phones and other electronic devices that we have confiscated from students and they have never been picked up. These are from last year or prior years. We do not have any from this school year. Mrs. Donegan has them in the NES office. If you think you are missing devices from previous years, please stop in to check with her.

We will be recycling these devices at the end of February.

Toys at School:

If students are bringing toys to school to play with during inside recess, they need to do so at their own risk. The school is not responsible for lost or broken items.

If children bring toys, they need to keep them in their backpack until it is inside recess time. If toys are out during other parts of the day, the teachers will take them and they will need to be picked up at the office.

We know the children need things to do during inside recess, so we allow the toys then. It is just important to understand they are bringing their favorite things at their own risk!

(Obviously, toys are permitted if teachers are having a reward or special activity and they have made you aware)

Transportation Changes:

Please remember that if your child is not going home from school the usual way, the school needs a note from the parents. If you change your plans after your child is at school, we will allow changes before noon. After noon, no changes will be made. This is for the safety of our students and to assure all students get where they need to be.

If your child will not be at school, please call the office and let them know. Along with calling, please remember to bring a doctor's note if your child is out due to an appointment.

Remember that attendance in school each day is critical for all students. They must be in school to learn and progress. Please do your part to get your children to school each and every day on time. School hours are 8:45-3:10.

Tech Issues:

If you are having trouble with Schoology or the iPads at home, please contact tech director Brad Lindquist by sending and email to or calling the school office. Please be sure you are communicating if there are problems so that we can get them fixed.

Schoology- Be sure that you are logging on to your child's Schoology to check out their assignments, class work, grades, and teacher feedback. I also post announcements here for the students to read. If you do not know your password to get in to Schoology, please let us know. If you are having difficulty seeing exactly how your child is doing on assignments and what they should work on, please contact the classroom teacher.
