The Three Types of Speed
By: Raquandra Barfield
Contant Speed
Constant speed is movement at a fixed (constant) distance per unit of time. The same amount of distance is covered by the object in the same amount of time at each measurement of that same interval.
Instantaneous Speed
The instantaneous speed of an object is defined as the speed of the object at any given instant.
Average Speed
The average speed is defined as the total distance traveled divided by the total time it took to travel this distance. Average speed is expressed in units of miles per hour.
