Northwood Elementary Connection

May Edition 2023

Hello Northwood Elementary families-

It’s hard to believe that in just a few weeks the school year will come to an end. State testing is behind us. Benchmark testing will begin soon for all students. There are several grade level field trips scheduled for May. Field Day is scheduled for May 22nd. Title Reading One School One Book Family Night is May 25th. The school calendar is full of end of the year activities.

Please continue your commitment to ensuring your child finishes the year strong by making sure that your child is in attendance each day, completes assignments and puts forth his/her best efforts on the remainder of assignments and assessments.

Please check the district’s website at https://www.elyriaschools.org/ for the latest information on what’s going on throughout the district. Elyria Public Library at https://www.elyrialibrary.org/ is a great resource for summer program information and other family programming information. Don’t forget to check the City of Elyria’s website at https://www.cityofelyria.org/department/parks-and-recreation/ for summer camp opportunities and community pool schedules.

When two strangers arrive in the city of Logos, they call attention to themselves by claiming to be able to make the most magnificent and magical clothing. The Emperor cannot resist this claim! The ensuing silliness can only be sorted out by the most intelligent and sensible person in the empire, a child named Captiosa.

The Emperor's New Clothes is a co-production with LCCC Theatre Department.
