Hallsville Intermediate News

December/January

A Word from Whittle

I hope this edition of our parent newsletter finds you well and eagerly anticipating the holidays with your children. While we will miss them during the breaks, we are all looking forward to time with our families mixed with a little rest.

There are lots of rumors floating around about next year and what H.I.S. will look like. The HISD School Board voted last night to approve Intermediate moving into the old middle school (the now empty building next door). That means we will inhabit that building AND our current building. While this will pose some challenges, we are confident that we can overcome those challenges and continue to be the awesome campus you have come to know and love. I'm certain there will be lots of ideas and questions in the weeks and months to come. Don't hesitate to inquire; if I have an answer, I'll tell you whatever you want to know. There is a LOT at this point that is unknown, but I always like the challenge and creativity of coming up with a plan. :)

Please save the evening of February 4th to come up to the school for a parent night. There will be a 5th grade Fine Arts program, cookies, cocoa, and time with your children learning about their academics. It's a fun and informative night.

Again, we hope you have a wonderful holiday season with your family.
