Message from our Principal
I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for an exciting and rewarding first six weeks of school. Our scholars have been doing an amazing job both in the classrooms and in extracurriculars. From Athletics to Band to UIL Academics, we are off to a STRONG start, and the drive and dedication that our scholars are bringing to the field is a driving factor. These first weeks, we were able to kick off many of our student clubs and organizations: NJHS, Student Council, FCA, Robotics, Chess, Speech and Debate, and many more. In the classrooms, our teachers have been and continue to work diligently to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of our scholars. After-school tutorials and morning labs are now up and going. Many great things are happening! All of which could not be possible without our partnership!
Parents, once more, thank you for your continued support. By continuously working together, we will continue to make the 2023-2024 school year another great year for our scholars, continuing our tradition of excellence at B.L. Gray Junior High.

Attendance Matters
Every Student. All day, Every day.
BL Gray Junior High has the HIGHEST attendance rate for the District for the First Six Weeks!
We had an overall 4.04% increase from last year's numbers! Let's continue encouraging scholars to be here every day! Parents, this could not have been achieved without your support!

Safety Response Protocol
Safety is our top priority. We will continue to practice emergency drills each month. Please reinforce with your child the importance of school safety. Thank you for partnering with us; together for safety!
Counselors Corner
What does it mean to Self-Direct?
Self-Direction is the ability and learned skill to cast a vision of future goals and then take intentional steps toward who, where, and what we want to be. Instead of focusing on things to control or avoid, we emphasize our responsibility to make positive choices related to our emotions, attitudes, and actions.
