Hippo Nation...Better Together! August 2020
A Note from your CCE Principal
Dear CCES Families--
Although our classrooms may start off empty this school year, that doesn't mean that we will not be learning and building relationships with our students and families! We are excited to start the school year in a safe and healthy manner. Our leadership teams have been planning for healthy processes and procedures that support social distancing and healthy guidelines set forth by our local and state officials. We can't wait to share some of them with you, check out the video below!
Our campus theme for the school year is T.E.A.M. Together Everyone Achieves More! We are already seeing our theme coming into PLAY as we work together as a staff to prepare to make this school year the very best that we can! We have 7 new team members to the Creek Family Team! Please welcome our newest additions when you can! Their pictures are below.
Hot OFF the PRESS: With the start of school, comes Meet the Teacher! Meet the Teacher will be on August 11th. This year our campus will be conducting Meet the Teacher using Virtual Options. Your child's teacher will be contacting you soon to introduce themselves and share important information about the option that they will use for their Meet the Teacher Day and other pertinent information about their online learning platform. We can't wait to see you soon virtually!
During their virtual contact with parents, teachers will be sharing important information regarding themselves, their virtual schedules, how to join their learning platform and important information about how we will be tracking daily attendance for our students. Please keep an eye out for that contact from your child's teacher soon. Let's give our teachers grace as they are reviewing their rosters today and making plans to contact you prior to Meet the Teacher! Our CCE parents are wonderful and we love our families!
School remote learning begins on August 18th for all students in Hutto ISD. In-person for all students who chose to return after our remote learning period begins on September 8th. Please continue to check the Hutto ISD website for any additional important updates.
Our teachers/staff have worked very hard during this time to continue to plan for engaging activities while meeting our state responsibilities for providing instruction to our students! I am very proud of all of our teachers and staff! Everyone at CCE -from our custodians to our specialists- are AmaZinG! Our school is beautiful and will look amazing once all the renovations are completed. Please click on the link below to see the virtual tour of our building!
Once online learning begins, if your family is having difficulties and needs additional support with assignments, please remember to reach out to our staff/teachers. We will work to support your family needs the best that we can! A link to our campus staff can be found below for your convenience!

From our campus registrar~ Attendance Need-to-Knows
We are excited to begin the school year! Attendance will be taken virtually the first day of school. Your child's teacher will share information about the first day and what you can expect to be counted present for first day attendance.
If your child is absent during online/remote or in-person school, attendance notes should be sent to your campus registrar. All attendance notes must be emailed or faxed to document your child's absent. You may email your attendance notes to cces.attendance@huttoisd.net
Remote learning students will need to interact in one of three ways to receive credit for attendance for the school day. Here are the ways that we will document attendance:
1. Student logs in and joins their live learning class and their teacher will document their attendance (Teacher-Student Interaction)
2. Students attendance will be noted when they turn-in an asynchronous assignment into their learning site (Completed Assignments)
3. Student shows progress and has activity on their learning sites posted by their teacher (Learning Progress)
We will use all of these methods, but at least one, to credit students for attendance for the school day. Please reach out to your classroom teacher if you have any questions about this or email estella.alvarado@huttoisd.net.
Is My Student Registered?
All New Students must register for the first time on our Hutto ISD Registration site.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you are a Returning Student:
You must log into our Hutto ISD Registration site to complete the Returning Student registration. This must be completed in order to see your students schedule and teacher assignment.
If your student is going to enter 3rd grade, please make sure to note that proof of residence is required this school year.
Please do not hesitate to contact estella.alvarado@huttoisd.net if you have any questions about your registration status. Thank you!
