A Note from Ms. Owens
Gradebooks for the second trimester have closed and report cards will be going home next Thursday, March 5. The third trimester means we are in the last third of the school year. We have twelve weeks of school left with lots of learning and growing to do!
Thank you to all the SCA families who have purchased or sold tickets for the Dream Raffle. The Dream Raffle is one of only two budgeted fundraisers for the church and the school. Selling out all of the tickets goes a long way to help keep tuition increases in check. The first Early Bird drawing is scheduled for Friday, March 6 at the Fish Fry!
Please note that Yearbook order forms are due tomorrow, and Open Gym begins next week. Also, Lenten Rice Bowls from Catholic Relief Services and Beyond the Books registrations went home in today's White Envelope. See the buttons below for more details.
Here's what's coming up this week:
- Tomorrow - All School Liturgy
- Sunday - Kindergarten Family Mass
- Monday - ACT Aspire - Round 3 Interims begin; 6th Grade Field Trip to Argon Labs
- Tuesday- Stations of the Cross (all school); FSA meeting
- Thursday - Second Trimester Report Cards go home; Communion pictures
- Friday - All School Liturgy & Adoration; SCA Fish Fry
Thank you for all you do to support the St. Catherine community!
Peace,
Kristine Owens

A Few Uniform Reminders
As we enter the (hopefully) second half of winter and begin to think about spring, please take a moment to review the uniform expectations for St. Catherine students.

Socks
Only white, red, gray or black socks or combination of those colors are allowed; socks must come above the ankle.

White or black tights are permitted, but slacks, sweatpants, leggings, and flannel pants may not be worn under a uniform skirt or jumper during class hours. If footless tights are worn, socks must cover any exposed skin.Sweatshirts

South Side Irish Parade - Getting to/from the Parade
FSA will provide bus transportation to and from the South Side Irish Parade. To ensure they have enough seats, FSA asks that you fill out the below form. (It also went home in last week's White Envelopes.) FSA will have a float for the children to ride on.
Please return this form no later than March 6, 2020.

Kids Heart Challenge
Remember how much fun Kids Heart Challenge was last year? And all the good it does for our students, both physically and emotionally? We’re doing it again! More than 50% of kids in this country do not get the physical activity they need and nearly 1 in 5 children is obese. Together, we can change that!
Kids Heart Challenge will kick off soon and you can get a jump on it by registering online today!
1. Click on the button below
2. Click on SIGN UP
3. Choose whether you had an account last year or not
4. Follow the prompts
Once you’ve registered, download the FREE mobile app for iPhone or Android by searching for Kids Heart Challenge. You will see your Heart Heroes come to life and you can take selfies with your Heart Heroes.
You’ve been at the heart of our program and your support will continue to make a big difference in the fight against heart disease and stroke by assisting families. Thank you for helping the American Heart Association, which has been supporting schools like St. Catherine for 41 years.

Tuesday Hot Lunch Ordering
The link for placing hot lunch orders is below. Please remember that ordering closes at noon the day before delivery.
There will, of course, be days when parents have ordered a hot lunch and their child is absent. On those days, parents (or another designated person) are welcome to pick up the child's lunch. In order for this to happen, parents must notify the school of the hot lunch pick-up prior to 11 AM and then the actual lunch must be picked up before 12:30 PM. We cannot keep lunches beyond that or send them home with students due to food safety regulations.
