Upcoming Events
Fall Intro to Family Crew Meeting
Wednesday, October 18, 6-7pm
Learn more about Family Crew and our goals for the year. We hope to brainstorm some upcoming events and more ideas for the Family Crew.
Game Night & Bake Sale
Wednesday, November 15, 6-7:30pm
Join us for an evening of board games and family fun!
Proceeds from the bake sale will support future Family Crew activities for teacher appreciation week in the spring.

Winter Dance
Thursday, December 14, 6-8pm
GEMS is hosting a winter dance again this year. Family Crew will be staffing the cookies and hot coco table.

Family Meet-ups
Thanks to the families who joined us in July and August to chat and play. We are glad you were able to make it out to the parks!
Playground & Grounds Clean up
Thanks to the families (parents and students!) who joined us to clean up the school grounds before the start of the school year! We had a wonderful turnout and lots of hands make quick work!
Back to School Night
Thanks to the volunteers who were willing to staff the Family Crew table. We appreciate you taking time out of your evening.
We also enjoyed meeting everyone who stopped by the table and signed up for these updates!
Painting the Gym/Stage Stairs
Jody Davis took on the task of helping GEMS rehab the stage steps in the gym this summer! She & her family did an awesome job with some Family Crew support!

How long be you been a part of the GEMS community?
2 years
Do you have a student at GEMS?
My daughter is in 1st grade at GEMS and my son will be in kindergarten next year!
What made you want to become a co-coordinator for GEMS Family Crew?
I have a passion for wanting to become more involved in the GEMS community and helping to cultivate it.
What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy reading, being outside in nature, and spending time with my family and friends.
Adrienne Stevens
How long be you been a part of the GEMS community?
This is my 2nd year as part of the GEMS community
Do you have a student at GEMS?
My daughter is in 3rd grade at GEMS
What made you want to become a co-coordinator for GEMS Family Crew?
I enjoy helping others to become involved in the school community. I have a background in education and know firsthand how important the school-community relationship is.
What do you like to do for fun?
I enjoy crochet, reading, and genealogy research. I am currently in the process of writing a family history book for my family.

The GEMS Family Crew is dedicated to cultivating a sense of unity and connection among GEMS students' families, fostering a strong sense of belonging and active participation within the larger school community.
Guided by the motto "We are crew, not passengers," we exemplify this spirit through our engagement in service projects across the school and broader community, active participation in meetings, and steadfast support of school events
