The weather has been beautiful, and our community has been busy! THANK YOU to everyone who participated and supported the Knoxville Cancer Relay Team! These efforts are so appreciated and necessary--we are grateful you are willing to make a difference and provide hope for several of our school families that are battling cancer at this moment. Cancer is a horrible disease that touches too many lives. KCSD is proud of our community for taking on this challenge!
Monday we celebrated World Teacher Day and want to give a shoutout to all of our AWESOME Panther Educators! Our teachers have a heart for kids and take our district goals very seriously--be a leader in 21st century learning and be a caring community! Our students are so lucky to have you, and we are excited to watch them grow under your classroom leadership.
Remember there is no school Monday due to professional development. Look for information on our new school picture dates and on upcoming parent-teacher conferences in future editions of the Panther Press.
Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy the warm weather!

Stay Home If You’re Sick. Wash Hands. Wear a Face Covering. Stay 6 Feet Apart.
Let’s review: Stay home if you’re sick. Wash your hands. Wear a face covering. And the final reminders: Stay 6 feet apart and practice social distancing. Anybody else carrying around a tape measure or using the app on your phone to see what 6 feet looks like? Some ways to estimate: put your arm out, have the other person put their arm out and fingertips should not touch. When I can, I have doorway conversations. When the door needs to be closed for confidentiality, I stay back from my co-workers to make sure we’re at least 6 feet away from each other. Social distancing is another key to stopping the spread of germs. Take care of yourself and your family.
Landforms You Can Eat!
Second graders have been learning about landforms. On Friday, we made edible landform cookies to review what we had learned. Thank you to Hy-Vee for helping us with the cookies and frosting.

In partnership with Ramaeker Enterprises Inc., we are excited to offer the Knoxville Store - the online apparel store for Knoxville Panther gear!
This link can be found on our school website: https://www.knoxville.k12.ia.us/ and then click on the "Knoxville Store."
This store features apparel/gear with items from our new brand system with logo marks that have never been on the market! These are exclusive Knoxville Panther items you will only find here!
Some items on this store will stay from month to month - some items will change so that there are constantly new items to choose from for Panther fans!
Orders will be processed twice a month - on the 15th and at the end of the month and Ramaeker Enterprises will email you when your order is ready.
Some new items were unveiled on October 1!
NFHS Network
There were some malicious links posted on school Facebook pages over the last month advertising livestream events that were not actually valid. For events in our high school gym, we will stream on the NFHS Network (https://www.nfhsnetwork.com) and then search for Knoxville. This is a subscription-based service, but it is legitimate.
When our team is on the road and the host school offers a livestream - we will post that link on Facebook with the host school spectator guidelines that have been sent to us - this will ensure to our viewing public the post/link is authentic.
We will also stream all concerts in KPAC on there as well.
