Companion ship/friendship
Friendship is a key part in our lives, from the people you meet to your family. helping you stand on your feet when you can't do it alone. They push you to be the best you can be. True friendship can feel like family.

"And what was I? of my creation and creator I was absolutely ignorant, but I knew that I possessed no money, no friends, no kind of property. I was, besides endued with a figure hideously deformed and loathsome; I was not even of the same nature as man." Chapter 13 page 115
Throughout the descriptions of the travels involving the creature, the creature becomes more aware of his surrounding and begins to identify who he is, A monster with little to nothing and a reputation as an outcast, The creature has no confidence in himself but tries to fake it to fit in but it ends in rage and anguish.
"I am an unfortunate and deserted creature; I look around and I have no relation or friend upon earth. these amiable people to whom I go have never seen me and know little of me. I am full of fears, for if I fail there I am an outcast in the world forever." Chapter 15 page 127
The creature is becoming more educated, he's discovering how to be creative in ways to build relationships with the villagers to escape his loneliness.
"I continued for the remainder of the day in my hovel in a state of utter and stupid despair. my protectors had departed and had broken the only link that held me to the world."
After being rejected by hid friends the monster returned to the village to seek friendship there.
"I thank you, but all that you mention is nothing to me; on the whole earth there is no comfort which I am capable of receiving."
