Ministry Reporting Memo
Highlights from the Ministry's Reporting Memo:
-The Ministry has provided a statement for demonstrated learning during the closure period as well as one for evidence collected during the first part of the term and the closure period.
-use of "I" for situations where there is insufficient evidence for a particular subject or strand. -Teachers would include the statement provided to indicate there is insufficient evidence to determine a grade/mark .
-The Ministry memo continues to emphasize only using work completed after April 6 that would improve a students' mark
-The memo emphasizes that teachers should use their professional judgment, put a focus on what students have learned, and, where possible, describe strengths and next steps for improvement.
