Mrs. Woodrum's ESL Classroom
1st, 3rd, and 5th Grades @ David Youree Elementary
Dear Parents,
Please remember to read every night with your child. Enjoy a good book together, or have a "reading time" every night where you both stop for 20 minutes to read something you want. If your child needs some books to read at home, they can bring home books from my classroom and bring them back when they are finished. I also have some "baby books" available if a big brother or sister wants to read to a little one at home. :)
Please also encourage your child to talk with you about what we are doing in our classroom. We are working hard on our interactive notebooks, reading fluency and comprehension skills, writing, listening, and speaking skills every week.
I am excited about how high we can soar this year if we will work hard and do our best every day!
