Welcome Back!

School Procedures

To begin the new year and focus on increasing communication and student accountability we will be starting behavior/data notebooks in all classrooms. Some grade levels are already doing this but all grade levels will be participating starting this semester. Notebooks will include some type of behavior communication according to grade level and data to show your child's progress and performance. Please check your child's notebook each night for any communication and homework. Notebooks should be returned daily!! All students should be aware of the school rules and their classroom rules.

K, 4th, and 5th graders should be dropped off and picked up on the Auburn side of the school, and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd graders should be dropped off and picked up on the McNair side of the school. Mrs. Barnes

My name is Angela Barnes and I am beyond excited and honored to be Julian Harris Elementary School principal. This will be my 35th year in education. I look forward to seeing all the smiling facing of students and adults eager to learn new things. I hope and pray that I can encourage others to be the best they can be and believe in themselves even on difficult days. There is always sunshine that comes with the rain. I begin every day by saying “it is going to be a great day!! If you believe you can do it you can!
