Genrefication in the Library

Now, it's easier than ever for our students to find fiction titles that fit their interests. We've sorted and labeled our fiction books by genres (mystery, historical fiction, realistic fiction, fantasy, horror, sports, paranormal, graphic novels, etc.) so students can locate their preferred genre. We would love the opportunity to speak to your classes about books we have available!

Remember, teachers and staff can check out books, too! We constantly update our collection and have many books that may suit your reading interest! Our collection includes both Young Adult books as well as popular Adult Fiction titles. Additionally, we have many nonfiction books that are currently on the bestselling list. Please stop by and check out our collection or email us with the title you're looking for!

Thank you to our Banned Books Week participants!

For Banned Books Week (Sept. 24-Sept. 30), Ms. Hooper, Ms. Holston, Ms. Carpenter, and Ms. Chapman brought their students to the library to check out a banned or challenged book. They also discussed the negative implications of censorship and the importance of reading diverse books. We appreciate their fight for the freedom to read!

Check out these Banned Books resources for teachers!
