"No one has a problem with the first mile of a journey. Even an infant could do fine for a while. But it isn't the start that matters. It's the finish line."

Principal's Message
Happy Friday!
Congratulations to both our girl's and boy's basketball programs for their victories this week! The girl's had a great district win in overtime vs College Park! Way to complete! Keep up the hard work!
The end of your child's first semester of high school is near! With only 13 school days left we have a lot left to complete. Please help your student remain focused while they are completing those last assignments, projects, and preparing form their finals.
To help add a little fun into this busy time of year we have dress up days for out last twelve days of school. Please encourage your child to participate! You can see the daily themes below in our newsletter. Tuesday the 4th will be our first dress up day with a snowman theme! Also, make sure to get out and enjoy the many holiday concerts that our fine arts programs have this time of year! You can find those dates and times in our upcoming events section.
Please continue to check "parent access" and discuss with your child their grades and study habits. High school is a 4 year journey divided into 8 semesters. Depending on their grades, your child will receive or not receive high school credit at the semester which determines their graduation date. This semester matters!
Please encourage your children to stay after school for tutorials. Tuesday December 11th will be our last day for tutorials this semester. Every minute matters!
We celebrated Generations Texas Week this week. The student/ teacher conversations this week have been a great way to help your children think about their future! I truly believe that a positive attitude and a strong work ethic are the ingredients to success! I stress to our students that their future is in their own hands through the choices and decisions they make on a daily basis, day by day, period by period!
Continue to watch our Tiger Nine News team's broadcast to be informed on campus and local events. You will be entertained!
For you football fans out there the Big 12 Championship game is tomorrow with an OU/ Texas rematch! It is going to be a great game! Boomer Sooner!
Thank you for allowing me to be your child's principal. I am blessed to work with and serve so many amazing teachers and students! It is a honor to work with you in helping your child reach their full potential! Let's All Finish Strong!
