Hi Everyone,

More about the journey, reminding us to embrace the child within.

Next week sees a big term draw to a close, with our final Edudance Concert on Monday afternoon, and our Easter prayer service on Thursday morning. Next week is Holy Week. Easter marks the most important time in the annual Catholic calendar. We hope you will join us 9.00am Thursday.

Have a great weekend

Being at School, After School

A reminder that families not connected to After School Care need to have left school by 3.15pm. Yesterday, families were still onsite on the playground at 3.50pm which is contrary to expectations.

Edudance Videos

Our wonderful P&F have hired a professional videographer to come and film this year's concerts. Once the editing has been completed, all parents will have access to the footage, a great keepsake for the future.

Parent/Teacher Meetings

Parent/teacher meetings take place on Tuesday 3 April. Please remember school closes at 12pm on that day. Just a reminder that parent/teacher meeting bookings close at 3pm today. Teachers will be keeping to the 10-minute time slot, so please ensure you arrive on time for your appointment.

Project Compassion

Please return all project compassion boxes to the class teacher or front office by Monday 3rd April. The project compassion boxes will be taken to Our Lady of the Rosary Parish on Tuesday. Thank you everyone for your kind donations.

Give Write

Thank you so much for your support of Give Write with your Donation Drive last year. Your support is really important to us to continue to assist kids in need in WA. We are delighted to report that we have recently celebrated a major milestone by providing our 10 000th Give Write School Pack to a WA student, as well as having helped hundreds of WA teachers through our Free Teachers’ Store. We couldn’t do it without the support of your school and students.

Thanks again for supporting WA kids in need.

Box breathing, silent reading and calm library sessions have been our focus as we travel towards the end of a wonderful term. Thank you to our supportive community for all the book donations for our Project Compassion Second Hand Book Sale. It was a huge success and I hope everyone enjoys their bargain books! We raised $250 for Project Compassion!! Thank you to the Library Monitors and Ms Capolingua for their hard work.

Round 3 of the Chess had some interesting results with a couple of re-matches set for the beginning of Term 2. There will be no Chess in Holy Week. As always, keep your eyes on the whiteboard outside of the library for all updates about what’s happening each week.

Have a lovely weekend,

Mrs Butson

“I alone cannot change the world, but I can cast a stone across the waters to create many ripples.”
Mother Teresa

Thank you to Ms Rees and the year 6 Pastoral Care group for such a fun Paper Plane Competition at lunchtime today. The music and iMovie demonstrations were amazing and made for a great lunchtime activity for all. The focus of our year 6 service groups are to give back to our school and community to increase feelings of gratitude and boost positivity and inclusion through the school. They do this so well and with Ms Rees and Mr Scutti supporting them, the 6’s are really making the most of every day they have here at HR in their final year. Well done to you all!
