Financial Business: Fiscal Year 2022 Year End Financial Review
Mr. Mizikar gave a presentation on the Fiscal Year 2022 Year End Financials. He noted that the budgeted $136,139,713 for FY22 and turned back $2,505,961, meaning they expended 98.16% of the budget, which is good practice to be under 2% for turnbacks. He showed the FY22 Local Recipets and the prior 4-year actuals for local receipts. He noted that the FY22 Budget for local receipts was $10,891,067 and the FY22 actuals came in at $13,397,875.28. He then summarized the specific local receipt categories, noting that motor vehicle excise tax actual was below what the Town had anticipated for revenue, but meals excise tax, cannabis, departmental fees, licenses and permits, trash/landfill, and other receipts’ revenues came in higher than expected. Mr. Mizikar also summarized the tax revenue report as well.
