Susan B. Anthony's Life

“Forget what the world thinks of you stepping out of your place; Think your best thoughts, speak your best words, work your best works, looking to your own conscience for approval.” That is what Susan B. Anthony said about life. The part I like most is “Think your best thoughts, speak your best words, work your best works.” I like that part because it has a deep meaning to it. Here is my report on the abolitionist Susan B. Anthony.

Susan's childhood was very emotional.

She was born on February 15, 1820 in Adams, Massachusetts. She was born into a Quaker family. Her family did not believe in slavery and tried to stop it. "She went to a boarding school called Deborah Monsanto Female seminary school in Philadelphia." By the end of her childhood she had moved 2 or 3 times.

Susan Hated Slavery Her Whole Life.

"When Susan was an adult she made a newspaper called The Revolution. It was all about equal rights." Susan did not like slavery and she tried to stop it with her newspaper. "Her and two others wrote and published the first book of woman's suffrage." She celebrated her 80th birthday in the White house, then later died on March 13,1906.

Here are some fun facts about Susan.

"She was best known for leading the National American Woman's Suffrage Association. She wanted to abolish slavery first then stop woman's rights. Her middle name is Brownell and a ship was named after her and holds the highest record of lives saved. She was a speaker and a author. She had her picture on the american dollar coin. This is the best one is 14 years after she died the 14th amendment was passed."

Rap up of her life.

Here is a short summary of Susan B. Anthony’s life. She was born on February 15, 1820 and she went to school as a child. She did not like slavery. She wrote books about slavery and women's rights. One last thing, she died on March 13, 1906.
