A Message From Our Principal
Once again we find ourselves on edge, wanting to get back to normal and nervous about being around people. As you may be aware, the purpose of not starting back on January 4 was to give everyone an opportunity to quarantine for 2 weeks in case we were out of state or in any gatherings over the holidays. I hope that we are ready now to return and begin in-person once again. I understand numbers in the state are high but keep in mind that when we closed in November it wasn't necessarily due to the sickness but the inability to have classrooms in the in-person world covered. It is our hope that returning we are all conscious of what we need to do to remain open. Let’s make sure for all students and teachers we are practicing social distance and wearing our masks. We can not let our guard down and be lax. The governor expects schools to be open and continually says that people are not getting covid from our schools. It is happening outside the buildings. If we continue to be smart and safe about where we go and who we are around, we can do this!
On January 19, as was the date set since we left in November, we will be back in school with the hybrid model and the A students attending. I am looking forward to once again seeing students and teachers. Our winter sports have begun and we are on track with following the NJSIAA guidelines. Unfortunately, right now there will be no spectators at any of our indoor events. Disappointing, but at least the athletes will be playing and hopefully get the season in.
I thank you all for your support, your patience and your understanding as we navigate back to something normal (whatever that may be).
Until next week, stay safe, be well, continue to dream of the possibilities ahead of us, be happy and smile at someone!
