Bearcat Brief

Friday, March 20th, 2020

Dear Bearcat Families.

As a response to the Coronavirus closure of Orrick R-XI Schools, I want to share important information about how we are moving forward.

  • No in person classes or activities Monday, March 23rd-Sunday, April 5th. If this date changes for any reason we will let you know ASAP.

  • All staff report to work Monday, March 23rd – Tuesday, March 24th

  • Teachers will work on Alternative Methods of Instruction (AMI) Monday and Tuesday

  • Parents if you are wanting lunch/breakfast for your child/children Monday-Friday while school is out please call the school on Monday between the hours of 9:00 am and 3:00 pm and let the secretaries know how many per family and if you will be a drop off or Grab n Go.

  • On Tuesday March 24th lunch delivery will begin for those students that live on our bus routes. We will be sending out times when we will be there to drop off lunches. Please be there during this time or we will leave it by mailboxes. Grab n Go Food Service will be available on the 24th as well for those students/families that live in town between the hours of 11:00 am and 1:00 pm. Parents/students may pick up your lunches in the elementary car line by the cafeteria double doors. We will be providing lunch for that day and the following day’s breakfast.

  • On Wednesday, March 25th, between the hours of 9:00 am and 7:00 pm parents or students should come to school to clean out lockers, pick up prescriptions from the nurse and pick up AMI learning packets for the closure. If you or your student cannot make it during this time please call the school for alternative options.

  • Beginning March 26th from 9:00 am-1:00 pm School Office personnel will be available by phone for any questions or school business.
