Weekly Update
Horace Maynard Middle School
Kickin' It with Kilgore:
It has been another great week at 435 Main Street! I am very proud of our staff and students as we set expectations for the upcoming school year! We have had a hectic week, but it has been a good week as we are all getting familiar with new policies and procedures that are in place to ensure our students have the best chance for success.
How about our Devils competing this week! Volleyball, girls soccer, cheerleading and football have all started their seasons. The football guys had a huge win Thursday night in front of a packed house. Thank you to everyone that came out and supported our student athletes this week!
Next week we will be practicing several safety drills at HMMS. We will be reviewing our lockdown procedures and practicing an additional fire drill next week. I wanted to make everyone aware that this is will be taking place so there is no need to worry. We will send an announcement out through Facebook once the drills are successfully completed to keep everyone in the loop.
We hope everyone has a great weekend and GO DEVILS!
