Soaring Over MDE

Small Successes
Good Afternoon MDE Families,
We have had such great small success this week! I wanted to make sure I was able to recognize and point out each of them!
Report Cards: Report cards are viewable on the Aeries Parent Portal today. Please recognize your students for their hard work and dedication to being a stellar student. Students continue to make great progress towards their end of the year standards.
Picture Day: What an amazing success! We had more than 390 students come through our Multi-use room! The photographers were so impressed with our organization and diligence for anyone coming in to wear their masks and wait in the proper locations. A huge thank you to everyone that attended and to Mr. Louie and Ms. Misty for keeping the whole process organized and flowing!
Board Member Visit: We were so lucky to have both President Cherise Khaund and Trustee Erin McFerrin visit our school site. They were able to see all the hard work our site has done to be ready for our students to return. (I would be remiss if I did not shout out Mr. Patrick, Ms. Jami, and Mr. Louie who have been working tirelessly to get the campus ready!)
Integrity: The city of Clayton has a program called, "Do the Right Thing." This program has become a staple in Clayton to inspire and honor students for their achievements in the 7 character pillars of Integrity, Responsibility, Courage, Kindness, Self-Discipline, Respect and (recently added) Inclusion.
The city has asked both the elementary and middle schools to recognize students who embody these traits. This month the trait is INTEGRITY. The following students were recommended by their teachers for showing integrity during distance learning. A certificate will be in the office during your next materials pick up.
