Conference Letters: It's that time! Conference letters should go out to Advisory families no later than Mon 9/10. Conference week is 9/24-9/28.
HS Community Fair (8th only): 8th grade will be attending NP3 HS Community Fair on 9/12 from 12-12:20. We are working with the HS and will get you an adjusted bell schedule soon. Prepare for additional Advisory time. Club leaders plan on visiting Advisories 9/10 & 9/11 for 5-7 minutes to explain the fair and the purpose.
Leadership Rush: Leadership Rush (formally known as action team or club rush) is coming soon! This is a great opportunity to supervise or help initiate a student team who have interest in a topic or practicing leadership on campus or in our community. If you were in charge of an action team last year, please check in with your kiddos ASAP about setting up a booth or table to recruit new members during this event.
Rally: Q1 Rally is 9/7. This is an all Advisory/no enrichment afternoon. Please go over expectations with your Advisory class the week of the rally. Backpacks should be left in classrooms.
More Treasure Run Info: Start to pump up the event! Plan to wear class colors 6th/orange, 7th/white and 8th/black! We will get you a bell schedule when we have it.
PARENTS & FAMILIES:
- Booster Meeting: Come find out what our Booster Club is up to this year! The first meeting of the year is 9/10 6:30pm in the NP3 Library. All are welcome.
- Leadership Rush: Students will be able to sign up for a variety of clubs and action teams 9/10-9/12 & 9/14. Look for sign-ups in the quad at lunch!
- HS Community Fair: Let's rock out getting to know NP3 High! 8th graders will be attending NP3 HS's Community Fair 9/12. There will be a variety of clubs, community organizations and volunteer information.
- Fun in the 50s Dance: Our first dance of the year is Fri 9/14 from 3:30-5:30pm. Get ready to have "Fun in the 50s!" Tickets will be sold during lunch the week of for $3 and $5 at the door. Students who attend the dance are expected to be picked up no later than 5:30pm.
- 1950s Spirit Day: Bring on the leather jackets and poodle skirts! Dress up as your favorite Grease Character! NP3 will have a spirit day 9/14 in honor and support of the dance.
- Treasure Run: NP3's 2nd Annual Treasure Run is 9/19! Pledge packets will be sent home later this week, so look in your student's backpack! NP3 MS's goal is to raise $3,000 for two additional Chromebook carts - this will get us closer to our 1-to-1 goal! Last year we were able to meet our goal and we are pumped to meet it again! If we meet our goal, students will be given TWO FREE DRESS days! We ask that each class show their spirit by dressing in their class colors; 6th/orange, 7th/white and 8th/black. Get excited!!! - Spirit Week: Quarter 1 Spirit Week is 9/17-9/21. Monday: Pajama Day; Tuesday: Dress to Impress; Wednesday: Class Colors (6th/orange, 7th/white and 8th/black); Thursday: Dress like a Pirate; Friday: Twin Day.
- Raffle: Student Government will be selling raffle tickets at lunch 8/29-9/7 to raise money for school-wide activities. Prizes include a Visa gift card. See Ms. Silas for any questions.
- Yearbooks: Yearbooks are now for sale for $23! Purchase online at Balfour.com or students can turn in an order form and check made out to NP3 Boosters to their Advisory teacher. Prices increase 12/31.
- Pizza Sale: Student Government are selling pizza by the slice and drinks after school 9/13. All items will be sold for $1 each and the proceeds raised go towards buying heart rate monitors for the PE department.
- Celebrations: We are excited to share we are making celebrations more personalized and specific this year! There is much leadership and academic growth to celebrate! These celebrations will be taking the place of honor roll.
- Career Day: NP3 will be hosting our annual Career Day for 7th grade students on Tues 10/23. Parent volunteers will make short presentations to students on their own professions, while educating our 7th graders on the daily tasks they preform. If you would like to present, please fill out the Career Day form linked in this email and return the form to Mr. Brinkmann by Fri 9/14.
