PRINCIPAL'S MESSAGE
March 10, 2023
Dear Walnut Hills High School Families:
This has been a busy week at school as today is the last day of the 3rd quarter. We appreciate how much effort students and teachers have taken to wrap up the quarter in a strong way.
When school resumes on Tuesday, we will officially be in the home stretch with the start of the 4th quarter. Please note that school resumes on Tuesday: there is no school for students on Monday as the teachers will be attending Professional Development.
I hope the students enjoy their long weekend!
Sincerely,
John Chambers

High School PSAT Testing Results
Students in grades 9-11 took a version of the PSAT in fall 2022. The 10-11th graders took the PSAT/NMSQT, and the 9th graders took the PSAT 8/9. English teachers returned the students’ test booklets in their English classes in January. If students have not done so already, they should check their scores. Having an understanding of their areas of strength and potential growth will help students to target their preparations for upcoming college entrance exams.
Scores are available on the College Board website. The first step is creating an account if students do not already have one. There is no special information or codes needed to create the account - just general demographic information. Be certain to make note of the login information as this account will be used for all College Board assessments, including future PSATs, SATs, and APs. Once students have created their account, they need to look for the specific PSAT that they took. They will find a detailed score report as well as resources for future test preparation.
This link contains a helpful video at the bottom that gives an overview of the score report.
If students or parents have any questions, they should reach out to their counselor or the College Information Center.

2nd Semester Attendance Reminders
All Day Absence:
Please use either the attendance email (whhsattendance@gmail.com) or the All Day Absence Hotline (513-363-8404). Email is actually preferred and student name and grade level should be in the subject line. We are trying to do away with paper notes.
Early Dismissals:
Parents/guardians should email the attendance office (whhsattendance@gmail.com) to request early dismissal the day before or the morning of the early dismissal date. Please remind students that they need an Early Dismissal Permission Pass from the grade level office to leave campus (even during the passing bell).
This is a reminder if your student becomes ill during the school day, they must see the nurse in order to be dismissed. Attendance will be updated at the end of the day. If your ill student leaves campus without seeing the nurse, the absence will not be excused.
You can find this information and more using the link below "Reporting Absences & Dismissals" in the Stay Informed! section.
