KidVenture Orange News Letter

Hello Awesome KidVenture Volunteers

JUNE! That’s considered SUMMER! WAHOOOOO! I know many of us have fun trips planned for the summer and might find conflicts on the weekends we are scheduled to serve. I am hoping that sending out this monthly newsletter a little early will help with the conflicts. If you come across an issue please let Jonathan or I know as soon as possible so we can find a replacement for you.

Be Refreshed

We all live in a very fast-paced world with great demands on our time, when you’re frazzled, exhausted, and burned out? Take some time to be with God. If Jesus needed some time alone with God, surely we do, as well. Summer is here! Some say that as the year ends that there is a feeling of exhaustion which is over tiredness, perhaps a sense of weakness. It’s true that most of our days and nights are full of activity. Today you can look to your true source: I pray everyone of you can be refreshed in the spirit Jeremiah 17:8 “They will be like a tree planted by the water that sends out its roots by the stream. It does not fear when heat comes; its leaves are always green. It has no worries in a year of drought and never fails to bear fruit."

My Experience With God- Elementary

Part of The Big God Story

• 3.7: God is love, and He made us to be people who love as He loves. During this lesson, we talked about the things that get in the way of loving others. What types of things stop you from loving others as God loves them?

• 3.8: Jesus has sent out the invitation of salvation to all people, but we must accept the invitation in order to join in the banquet. Who is someone you have been praying for to accept God’s invitation of a relationship with Him? Did you share your invitation with anyone to come to church or to know Jesus?

• 3.9: God redeems and rejoices when the lost are found. Do you know a person who was lost and then found in Christ? Tell us about it.

• 3.10: God shows us how to forgive because He forgave us first. How does it make you feel to know God forgives us?

• 3.11: God gives us different stories of how He’s been gracious. These stories encourage the rest of the faith community. What are some of your stories about how God has been gracious in your life?

• 3.12: In a world that can seem to be filled with bad, Jesus is good news. What does the good news mean to you? How has Jesus been good to you? Have you shared your bracelet with someone to share with them the good news?

Yet the Lord longs to be gracious to you; therefore he will rise up to show you
compassion. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for him!
Isaiah 30:18
