February Redskins Read Winners
"That's What He Wrote!"
Kai Hargest, a student in Ms. DeSantis' class, describes the learning activity below:
We made our music videos because Ms.DeSantis and Ms.Winner made a song so we the students sang along to the lyrics. The songs are supposed to help us remember what Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, and George Mason did back then. The song is easy to remember and I think 3rd grader could remember this song too. This assignment was fun and I think all fourth grade classes should remember this song.
Girls + Math + Science = SUCCESS!
The "Girls + Math + Science = SUCCESS!" conference, scheduled on March 30, 2019, at Marsteller Middle School, is for students in grades 5-12 who live in and/or attend Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park Public Schools. This conference prepares grade 5–12 students for STEAM subjects and careers. Participants attend workshops with professionals working in the science, technology, engineering, arts, and math-related career fields. Digital Citizenship and Internet Safety
Manassas Park City Schools strives to always provide a safe learning environment for our students. This includes teaching Digital Citizenship and Internet Safety as well as using filtering and monitoring software on MPCS devices. We encourage parents to talk to their child about safe use of the Internet no matter what device they are using. A recent topic in the news is centered around a scary character being featured in children videos. Although we have not seen such videos at school, the following resources may be helpful in talking to your child at home about appropriate Internet use.
