The Diatribe
In this year’s summer program (in-person and virtual options!) led by Grand Rapids Poet Laureate Kyd Kane, students will have an opportunity to immerse themselves in the art of poetry and self-expression. Each session will be used to explore elements of mindfulness and poetic form, giving students an opportunity to find comfort telling their own stories, in their own voices. We will use a variety of mediums to encourage and inspire the students to express themselves in new and inventive ways. While poetry will be at the center of each session, the goal is to get us more comfortable and familiar with being ourselves.

Students will not report to the school, but rather work from home. All summer school classes will be offered virtually in Odysseyware.
We strongly encourage you to have your student participate. Being on track for graduation is our goal for each and every student. We are also allowing students to test out of a class on June 9 from 8AM-12PM at the Learning Center. ● This is only for students who have previously taken and failed to earn credit in a course.
● If a student passes the exam, they will be given credit for that course and will not have to take it again. ● Interested students can reserve their spot by completing the survey below by 5/21. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to call or email us.
