Your Tweetcher for the week of 11/4 was.....Rebekah Snyder
This is Rebekah's first year in the Clinton School District. Rebekah created a Twitter page and does a great job of using it to showcase the unique and hands-on learning opportunities she provides her students in the classroom.
Rebekah's tweets show her students engaged and having fun, while also learning.
Thanks Rebekah for being a Cardinal ambassador!
Your Tweetcher for the week of 11/11 is.....Angie Wishard
The picture below was taken by CECC teacher, Angie Wishard. The picture is one of her Bright Futures volunteers, Dr. Ball, a pediatrician at GVMH.
Here in Clinton, we are fortunate to have a community who is very involved in our schools. It is important that we showcase these volunteers, and taking great pictures like the one below is a great place to start.
Thanks Angie!

cardinal holiday mart
Stop by Clinton Intermediate School this Saturday, November 16th from 9:00-2:00 to visit 50+ vendors.
Can you donate for a good cause?
The Sunrise Optimist Club donates time and money for students in our district with disabilities to go shopping at Wal-Mart in December. In order to raise funds for the shopping spree, the Optimists hold auctions at their weekly meetings, and they are looking for donations!
Most items that are donated include food.....homemade cakes, cookies, cinnamon rolls, meat/cheese trays, etc. But items do not have to be food-related.
The auctions will be held in the next few weeks. If you would like to donate items for their auctions, or would like more information, please contact Optimist, Jarrod Steffens, jsteffens@clintoncardinals.org.
Can you help?
If so, use the form found here to let us know you would like to be a part of the fun staff features.
Winter Concession Stand
The winter sports concession stand schedule is now available. If your organization/club would like to request funding from the Booster Club, please consider volunteering.
The schedule can be found here. To sign-up, please contact Jami Voelmeck, jvoelmeck@clintoncardinals.org
**********FROM THE BUSINESS OFFICE**********
Looks like we are getting to the thick of winter....which could mean you are having to visit to the doctor's office with sick kiddos or even being sick yourself. Don't forget to set up your account on Navigator, which is the online portal Aetna uses to house your claim history and your Explanation of Benefits. Your Explanation of Benefits will tell you why or why not your insurance paid for something. Anytime you receive a bill from your doctor's office, you will want to pull your Explanation of Benefits to compare to make sure your insurance is paying for what it is supposed to be paying for. If you have any questions, we can send those documents to MET and they will get resolution for us! This way you do not have to call Aetna yourself. Please see the step-by step instructions below on how to set up your account on Navigator. As always, please reach out to me if you have any questions!
How to set up an account in Aetna Navigator:
· Navigate to the website: www.aetnanavigator.com
· At the Welcome screen, click on Register to sign up for an account.
o You will need your Member ID (found on your card) or you can use your social security number.
o Fill in the applicable fields: Full First name, Last name, Date of birth, Email, and also verify your Email.
o Hit Continue
· At the next screen – you need to create a secure log in
o Create a username
o Create a password
o Retype the password
o Select a security question
o Hit Continue
· Read/Review the terms and conditions and click the “I Agree and Continue”
· Follow the prompts to complete the registration of account.
Thanks!

Tell us what you do in the CSD, how long you have been here and why you enjoy being a Cardinal.
This is my 5th year teaching JROTC at CHS. It is the only school that I have ever taught at, and it will be the only school I ever teach in. I am also the Archery coach for the high school and the Senior Class Sponsor. I enjoy being a Cardinal for several reasons. There are no better teachers or staff anywhere else. I see so many teachers that give so much to help their students and push them to be better than they ever thought possible. I feel that from the main office down, I am truly appreciated and valued as a teacher and a member of the team. The students in this school are so exceptional and caring, that they make it fun to come and learn with them.
Tell us a little bit about your family/where you are from.
I am originally from Benton City, a really small town (smaller than Clinton) located in the southeast part of Washington state. I joined the military when I was 21 and spent the next 23 years traveling the world. My family and I have had opportunities to live all over the world; Germany, Panama, and Hawaii. I have been married to my wife, Jeanne, for 30 years. We have three grown boys, Zach (29), Logan (28), and Deven (25). When we were stationed in Hawaii we adopted Sophia who is now 15 and goes to school in Clinton. We have three dogs that live in our home as well as two cats. Chewie is a Husky, Rex is a mini Australian Sheppard, and Boog is a mutt. Sophia’s cats are Steve and Sweaty Precious. The dogs live to torment me, and my wife and kids mean the world to me.

The Olsons Have Moved!
Congratulations to kindergarten teacher, Allison Olson and her husband, 2nd grade teacher, Ethan Olson. Last month, they closed on a house outside of town.
The Olsons are loving the country life and having some land for their son, Tucker, to run and play on.
