"Set Sail on a Voyage of Learning!"

Changes Coming to Kindergarten

As you know, Mrs. Gardner has been given the chance to pursue an opportunity close to her heart. As a result, she has chosen not to return to the classroom in January. We will certainly miss her, but we wish her the best of luck in this new endeavor!

Beginning Tuesday (January 5th), we will move forward with two kindergarten classes. Mrs. Gardner's students have been split among Mrs. Bishop's and Mrs. Barrs' classes and these parents have been notified through personal phone calls and letter. Mrs. Gardner will remain with us for the next few days to aid in the transition and to help complete report card assessments.

Also, Mrs. Barrs' classroom has relocated to room 214 (Mrs. Gardner's former room). This will allow us to have the two kindergarten classes together on the same hall. Over the next few days, please help us make sure that all our kindergarten students are headed in the right direction.

Free Flu Shots

Nurse Supervisor Jill Cooke reminds us that the flu shot is free this year for employees with State Insurance coverage, that the supply of doses is limited, and that the flu is already in our area. Employees planning to get vaccinated should do so as soon as possible for the vaccine to be effective before flu becomes widespread.
