Brill Happenings
November Edition
Message from Mrs. Speer
“Appreciation can make a day—even change a life. Your willingness to put it into words is all that is necessary.” ―Margaret Cousins
November is a great month to give thanks for those around us. Showing gratitude and thanks not only let those around know how grateful and thankful we are for them, but keeps us on a positive path even when things are challenging.
During the month of November, I challenge each of you to find at least 3 people who have made you smile, lifted you up, or helped you out along your journey. Reach out to these people near or far and let them know that you are thankful for them and why.
Being thankful is contagious and once it starts, it is amazing to see how fast it spreads.
I am extremely thankful for all of my teachers and staff who have servant hearts and come to school each day to make a difference in our student’s lives.
I am thankful for all of the parental and community support that surrounds our school on a daily basis; we could not do what we do without you!
I am thankful for each and every one of our students who walk through our front doors each day and give us a purpose in our work.
As we move into the months of November and December, let us keep the spirit of gratitude going so that those around us know their importance in our everyday lives.
Thank you for allowing me to work with your students on a daily basis, it is truly a calling for me and look forward to each day here at Brill!

A Message from Mrs. Gollogly
We know the car rider line isn’t always the most exciting part of your day but there have been a few concerns that we want to make parents aware of for the safety of the students. Please remember the following tips when dropping off or picking up your child:
- When entering the car rider line, please enter Rutley Circle at the Herts Rd. intersection. It is simply safer for the students and helpful in regards to traffic backups.
- Do not drive down the center lane or change lanes to get around other cars. This is very dangerous and has resulted in numerous close calls.
- Please refrain from parking on Wiltshire or Herts to walk your children into the building or pick them up in the afternoon. It becomes dangerous in areas where crossing guards are not provided.
- When dropping your child off please check to make sure your child is safely on a sidewalk before driving off.
If your child walks or rides his or her bike, please adhere to the following:
- You need to be waiting to pick them up in the back of the school building when they are dismissed. Be there prior to the dismissal bell at 3:25.
- Children will not be allowed to play on the playground until you can arrive. If you are late in picking them up you will have to come into the front office and check your child out.
- Please remind students to use the sidewalks when crossing the street. It is hard to see the little ones when they cut through the front parking lot or the bus circle.
Thank you in advance for helping us out with these concerns. We are grateful for your help in making sure our broncos are safe when coming to and from school each and every day.
