Proclamation of 1763
When the king would not let the colonist go into the Ohio area.
Stamp act of 1765
The British Government tried to tax the colonist. The colonist had to pay an official stamp.
The Townshend Acts of 1767
This put a lot more hard work on the workers when they worked there job. This allowed tax collectors to look for smuggled goods.
The Boston Massacre of 1770
When red coat soldiers fired on unharmed civilians. The colonist tried to boycott and protest.
The Tea Act of 1773
This allowed East indian companies to sell tea to the colonist directly with no problem at all.
The Boston Tea Party of 1773
This made British tea cheaper. Colonist wanted to dump tea into the Boston harbor.
The Intolerable Acts of 1774
The Boston harbor was closed. The Troops were quatered. The colonist went toward the British builds.
Lexington and Concord of 1775
First steps towards the revolution and also the first brutal shots fired.
