What's Happening!
A big 'Thank You' to those who donated items last Friday at the football game. All donations collected were in support of those affected in the Greater Lawerence area. Service Learning classes spent time this week sorting the items in preparation for delivery. School Counselors wrapped up freshmen meetings this week. Freshman had the opportunity to meet their counselor and discuss transcripts, GPA, and the importance of getting involved in your school and community. Students met with their Tiger Talk advisory groups on Thursday, where they explored and discussed various topics on college and career readiness using Naviance. Naviance has grade specific lessons which teachers utilize to facilitate discussions amongst the students.
Projects in Engineering students are creating a Rube Goldberg machine that will make ice cream sundaes. They continue to develop and test the machine with a goal of presenting next week. Writing Research students are working on completing Phase I of their papers with a due date of early October. Topics selected this year include cults, the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, CTE, and the United States Air Force.
