FCPS Virtual Grading Just a reminder that grades will be given according to the FCPS regulation 500-06, which can be viewed on fcps.org website. There will be no option for Pass/Incomplete. A minimum of one grade per week per content area is required, however grades may not have been recorded during this first week of virtual learning. You can view your student's grades on Schoology. Please contact your child's teacher if you have any questions regarding your child's grading system. | Attendance Just as we value attendance for in person learning; we value attendance during virtual learning too. Teachers will be taking attendance daily for each scholar using "present" or "absent." A child is considered present if there is evidence of daily engagement in the virtual environment. A child is considered absent if there is no evidence of any daily engagement in the virtual environment. We do recognize that situations (illness, appointments, family emergencies, etc) arise preventing a child from being present for a portion or all of the day. If this is the case, please send an email to CES.Attendance@fcps.org with the reason for their "absence" and we will code this absence as lawful within our attendance system. Please include in the email your child's name, teacher, date of absence and reason. Please do not only email your child's teacher. | Message from Urbana Public Library Our local Frederick County Libraries are partnering with FCPS on providing resources to students during virtual learning.
