Metals
Metals, Non-Metals, Metalliods
Silicon
Silicon is a metalloid which means it has properties of both metals and non-metals. Silicon is a semi-conductor and this metalloid can be found in computers and calculators.
NItrogen
Nitrogen is a non-metal because it can not conduct heat or electricity. Non-metals are brittle and are not able to be rolled into wires or into sheets. Also, non-metals don't reflect the light and are very dull.
Copper
Copper is a metal that is why it is a conductor of heat and it also is a conductor of electricity as well. In the picture above copper is shown in the ductile state. Copper can be metaled down into sheets of copper and this is called malleable.
