2021 Jan. Student Questionnaire for Return
Please see the January 21 CCPS news release that shares the schedule for bringing students back to in-person learning.
In order to know how many students in grades 7th, 8th, 10th, 11th and 12th will be returning to the building and how many will require transportation, families need to provide information through a CCPS questionnaire.
Families of students in 6th and 9th grades have already completed questionnaires in November. Anyone needing to change information given in their previous questionnaire should contact the school directly.
Schedule Details:
Students assigned to an AA schedule begin on Feb. 16. (7th, 8th, and10th-12th grades)
Monday and Tuesday in the building for in-person instruction.
Wednesday at home for an asynchronous day (same as current schedule).
Thursday and Friday at home for synchronous virtual learning (same as current schedule).
Students assigned to a BB schedule begin on Feb. 18. (7th, 8th, and10th-12th grades)
Monday and Tuesday at home for synchronous virtual learning (same as current schedule).
Wednesday at home for an asynchronous day (same as current schedule).
Thursday and Friday in the building for in-person instruction.
Families have the option for their student to continue virtual learning at home. Students who remain at home for virtual learning will not experience any change to their schedule.
Please note:
Families will not be able to choose an AA or BB schedule. Students will be assigned to a schedule based on bus routes.
Families will be advised by the school of their student's schedule as soon as possible.
Transportation will be provided. However, because of social distancing, transportation is a challenge. Please consider if you have an option other than using CCPS transportation.
Face coverings are required for all students ages 5 and over.
Protocols for preventing the spread of COVID-19 through cleaning, self-assessment, and social distancing are detailed in the CCPS Recovery Plan.
WELCOME CRHS FRESHMEN!
Administration and our 9th-grade counselor, Mrs. North will be zooming with freshmen students this week during English class to help ensure students are prepared to return to school and to answer any questions they have.
Each freshmen student will get a welcome folder on the first day back which includes their schedule, locker combination, and a personalized map of the school to help make their transition to in-person learning as smooth as possible!
With freshmen students returning first, in a hybrid model, we are confident students will get plenty of adult support to navigate the building successfully!
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ALL RETURNING STUDENTS
- Students will use their laptops and continue to use google classroom to complete and submit their work. This ensures continuity of instruction in a blended environment.
- Students must bring their charged laptops to school with them daily. They should carry them in their county-issued laptop bag with their charger. There will be opportunities for students to recharge their laptop as needed; however, students should be in the habit of charging their laptop fully each evening.
- In most cases, students will not zoom while in school. We want to give students authentic, real-life school experiences while they are in the building such as conducting hands-on experiments and labs, instead of completing them virtually. This will take some time to navigate. Teaching and learning in a hybrid environment will be an adjustment, but we are confident our teachers and students are ready for it! This will be a balancing act for all to ensure equity whether students are here in person or at home zooming in.
- Social distancing and mask-wearing is a must.
- Students will move class to class and eat lunch in the cafeteria following social distancing protocols.
- At this time students will not be able to use locker rooms to change for physical education classes. Students that have physical education courses should come to school dressed appropriately to be able to actively participate. Students will be able to use their hallway lockers on a limited, scheduled basis. Students can use their laptop bags to carry pens, pencils, paper, etc. as needed.
- Students must self-screen at home daily before coming to school. If the student is feeling sick they must stay home. A "Daily Screening" magnet was sent home earlier in the school year and is pictured below for reference.

SENIOR SUPERLATIVES AND YEARBOOK INFORMATION
You have received an email soon regarding superlatives. This is where you vote for “Best Smile”, “Most Likely to…” and things like that. Please respond so your vote is counted! You will also have the opportunity to send in a summary of your activities to be printed by your photo in the yearbook. While this is not mandatory, it is a nice addition to your photo and something to look back on in future years. Please check your email!!

GRADUATION
The date for graduation has changed. CRHS will hold graduation on Thursday June 3 at 6pm in the stadium behind the school. The rain date will be Friday June 4. Please remember that as conditions and restrictions change, graduation details may change as well.
SENIOR CLASS DUES
Information about senior class dues will be coming soon. Remember, if you paid dues last year as a junior, we are counting that for your senior dues as well (since we did not use any of that money last year). If you sold enough through fundraising, you may owe nothing. Stay tuned for more details about this. Dues help pay for graduation/senior year related expenses and activities (lunch, tshirt, etc…).
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact one of the advisors (sousa.michael@ccpsstaff.org and france.bernadette@ccpsstaff.org). We may not have all the answers right now, but we are working hard to make this a successful senior year for all!!!
