Belize has a Parliamentary democracy and a commonwealth realm. The leader of Belize is Dean Barrow. The currency in Belize is the Belize dollar. The economic system is capitalism. Belize is on good terms with other countries except Guatemala. Guatemala used to control Belize and they are now enemies.


Belize gained its independence from the United Kingdom on September 21, 1981. September 21 is also their independence day.
