Donuts with Dad
Please see the following newsletter for your invitation to our Donuts for Dad celebration. This is for all important men in your child's life. Please join us February 18th, from 8-9am. https://www.smore.com/c5wa9
What we're learning...
In science, students are continuing to work on their robots. Students have successfully programmed their robots to move in a complete square, and are moving on to removing blocks from a grid. The final project requires students to build a device on their robot to unload a block at a specific destination. All of the movement and unloading must be written in code and downloaded to the robots! The students are loving this challenge!
We are continuing to learn about non-fiction text structures and strategies in ELA and will be working on a writing project to learn about Westward Expansion. We finished division of whole numbers and decimals, and will be spending the rest of the year adding, subtracting, multiplying and dividing fractions.
DARE Graduation
This has been rescheduled for Monday, February 29th at 7:00pm. We apologize for the changes-there were some miscommunications about the high school being available Tuesday night. We will send an updated permission slip for a practice the day of the graduation. Students will need to arrive by 6:45, and wear their DARE t-shirts for the graduation.
Don't forget, School on Monday!
This is our makeup day for our Royal's Blue Day in November. Please be at school at the regular time.
