A Big, Furry Friend
Have you ever wanted a big, furry, and sometimes stubborn friend? Of course you have! Who wouldn't? But what is this angel like pet? An Alaskan Malamute! A large, strong, and very furry breed of dog. But what are they like? Well, that is just what this article is about!
Beautiful Creatures
Alaskan Malamutes are not perfect for everyone though, they are large and shed lots, this is because Alaskan Malamutes have double coats. They come in many nice colors like black and white, red and white, brown and white, silver and white, and a few more. Their bones are thicker than regular dog bones and have almond shaped eyes. Have you been on the internet and saw a picture of an Alaskan Malamute with blue eyes? Of course you haven't, because Alaskan Malamutes don't have blue eyes. So if you were wishing for a Safire blue eyed Alaskan Malamute, forget about it, they don't have blue eyes.
Amazing Alaskan Malamute History
Have you ever wondered the history of a certain breed of dog? I know I have, and Alaskan Malamute history is very fun and interesting, let's learn about it! Some people think the breed Alaskan Malamute is the oldest breed of dog in North America. Another amazing thing about Alaskan Malamute history is that during WWll Alaskan Malamutes were used as rescue dogs! I know my Great Dane couldn't do anything like that! That's A Big Dog
Alaskan Malamutes are large furry and strong dogs. Did you know that Giant Alaskan Malamutes are the 9th largest breed of dog? Would you want that big of dog? I know I would wish every night for this dog. These dogs are for sure not a Lap dog! Alaskan Malamutes can get up to 25 inches tall, that's over two feet! That seems big but it gets better, they weigh about 65-100 pounds! That would squish my dog Boomer like a bug being crushed by a shoe. Even though these dogs are heavy and large, they live 12-15 years, amazing right? Great Danes only live 6-8 years. And I thought these dogs couldn't not get better!
