The Bethany Community values the lifelong learning of each child by supporting individual social, emotional, ethical, and academic development

Down to the last few weeks

Good morning most wonderful staff!!

It was awesome to see almost all of you and the kiddos this morning at the assembly. At the assembly, I had one of those moments where you flash back to something in the past. I saw the students sitting their from the first assembly of the year. All the students were still trying to figure out there place with each of you and with their peers. Some were overly confident, some were shy, and others simply wanted to crawl into a hole and hibernate until the next summer. Due to their amazing teachers, you gals and guys, they have flourished this year and each child is better off than when they first arrived in your classrooms. Thanks for all you are doing!! You are greatly appreciated.

Speaking of teacher appreciation, as you have seen, the PTA has a full week of celebrations planned for the staff. We have decided to hold off on the school's teacher appreciation items until after this week, with one exception -- all week is jeans week. The office staff and I have planned some other great things for the coming weeks, but figured it would be better to extend the fun then overindulging in a single week.

Keep up the great job with always being present with students -- both in the classroom and in other areas of the building. As we are diligent in our supervision of students, we can anticipate and prevent many behaviors before they occur. This will make the last five weeks of school better for the students and all of us!

As a friendly reminder for all who live in the PISD voting area, tomorrow is the final day for early voting on the PISD Bond Issue and the actual election day is May 7th. Thanks again for all you do!! Each of you make a difference!

Thought For The Week

The dream begins with a teacher who believes in you, who tugs and pushes and leads you to the next plateau, sometimes poking you with a sharp stick called “truth.”
