This week, we will be focusing on:

My Pre-K World: Transportation and Community Helpers

Letter: C

Number: 1

Color: Red

Names

Nursery Rhyme: Row Row Row Your Boat

AB Pattern

Weather

Community Helpers

Rules, routines, and procedures

TRANSPORTATION

This week, our theme is "Transportation!" Throughout the week, we will be incorporating various activities to discuss the different types of transportation. We will also be sorting types of vehicles and discussing what vehicles we would take to the store, playground, etc... The letter C will be introduced as well. The letter C is such a vital letter because it introduces the circular motion for many "curvy letters." While at home, have your child spy for items that begin with C. They can also point out the letter C. We will also be focusing on identifying, building, and writing our names. We will be identifying, naming, sorting, and spelling red. We will continue to work on an "AB" pattern. By using these terms, your child will be ready for kindergarten patterning! Finally, we will continue to focus on the circle and the number one will be introduced! While at home, have your child spy for items that are a circular shape. :)
