PICKERINGTON ELEMENTARY NEWS
How we "do school" and everything else has certainly changed in the past few weeks. Remember, reach out to teachers and other staff, including me, if you have questions or run into an obstacle.
Before our schools closed, we had one set of KISS Luncheons, with the last set cancelled. It was good to see many family members interacting with children in a special way. We will reschedule the final set of KISS Luncheons if we are back in school in time to do so. Thanks to our PTO members who set up for the luncheons and a special shout out to Emily Haverfield. She set up our Book Fair and ran an abbreviated schedule so all students were able to purchase items if they wanted to.
We weren't able to honor our latest group of PROUD winners during a PTO meeting. The students chosen for the month of February were nominated by a staff member for demonstrating one of the seven habits described in the book The 7 Habits of Happy Kids by Sean Covey. Each student demonstrated what a highly effective leader looks like. We will honor the following students at a later date, and present them with a leadership T-shirt, a certificate, and a charm. Congratulations to: Sage M., Gabe G., Adrian G., Lilly Beth B., Cameron C., Kazai F., and Zach R.
Thank you for your continued support and patience as we adjust to a different reality for school. On behalf of the entire staff, stay safe and healthy. We miss seeing all of your children at school!
