Tools for your Classroom
Keeping a Lecture Hall, Small
Being a college freshman, lecture classes were a whole new world. I immediately felt a disconnect between myself, my professor, and my fellow classmates. I sat in my seat wishing there was a way for my teacher to get a little bit closer to his students. However, through these classroom tools, a college professor can get one step closer to reaching his students.

Remind 101
Remind 101 is a way for a professor to text message students without ever sharing numbers. Everybody knows that students are always on their phone, so in order for a teacher to be able to efficiently and quickly reach his students, he can just text them! It is the easiest way to remind a class of 300+ students about upcoming tests, assignments that are due, or class cancellations.
Think Binder
When there are hundreds of students in one class, group projects can get messy. However, with Think Binder, it makes working together on group projects easier. It provides a way for students to get together, without actually physically getting together. Students can share ideas, chat, and stores all of their information. It does not get much more convenient than that!
Edmodo
Since I am fresh out of high school, I am in touch with some of the technology that my teachers used in their classroom, one of which being Edmodo. There have been countless times that students and teachers alike have been frustrated with their university sites, such as ELC for the University of Georgia. Well have no fear, Edmodo is here. Edmodo is Facebook for the classroom. Teachers can post, share videos, pictures, or any class related materials, and students can ask questions, reply to their teacher, and stay up to date on all of the class happenings. Life in the classroom just got a little bit easier.
