T'was the Day Before Christmas Break

T’was the day before Christmas break, when all through the class,

EVERY creature was stirring, as the gifts and hugs were being passed;

During the parties, the activities and games were played with care,

In hopes that the prizes would be theirs to bear;

The children were nestled all snug in their seats,

While many of them exclaimed, “He cheats!”

And Mamma Arnold in her heals and wearing red lipstick,

Was watching the clock tock and tick,

Awaiting 11:30 because there was so much clatter,

She exclaimed, “I need a break from all this chatter!”

Away to car line I flew like a flash,

Motioning cars on with the wind blowing my sash.

The sun finally came out after freezing temperatures fell below.

Each day of the precipitation, like a Chia Pet, my hair did grow.

When, what to my wondering eyes should appear,

But wonderful acts of love from each of you, Dears.

For a little Principal, so lively and quick,

I knew in a moment God put us together, each fellow and chick.

More rapid than eagles my love for you came,

And I wanted to shout, and call you by name;

Now, my “dawlins” of 3G! Now, “hawts” of 4M!

On, “chers” of 2G! On “boos” of 1M!

Out of my office and down Wolverine Drive!

Enjoy your break; we all need to revive!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Ms. Arnold (2015)

NCS Annual Fund

Dear Northlake families,

You should have received a mail-out recently asking you to contribute to Northlake Christian School's Annual Fund. I hope you had a chance to read over the material and gain a full understanding of what the annual fund entails. We recognize and appreciate the financial sacrifice families make to send their children to NCS, but please realize that tuition alone does not cover all of our needs, especially substantial improvements such as our new Middle School and the technology infrastructure needed to support our school-wide 1-1 iPad program. Please take a moment to watch THIS VIDEO created by our students which highlights these strategic initiatives. Our vision for Northlake has never wavered and that is "to integrate faith and learning to provide the best education and experience for your child so they can impact the world for Christ." You are helping us achieve that vision when you give or pledge to give to our annual fund. For more information about how the annual fund benefits your student, CLICK HERE.

Your support and prayers along with the faculty and staff are the heart of the ministry of NCS. Paul urges us in Philippians 4:6, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God." Please continue to pray for God to use Northlake mightily.

In closing, I ask you to prayerfully consider what you can give and where you can serve. You can go to the school website under "Giving" to donate online or you can mail in the envelope from the annual fund brochure. There is no gift too big or too small to make an eternal difference in the lives of the children that NCS serves. Thank you always for your support, and let us continue to give God the glory for all He has done and will continue to do at Northlake Christian School.

For His Glory,

Monty Fontenot
Head of School
