#Welcome2018
2018 Let's GO!
I am so ExExExCited to kick off the second semester of #TheBestYearYet~
I hope you all had an enjoyable break filled with relaxing moments! I was able to head to Ohio and spend Christmas with my family. It was great and evidently I brought us all back SNOW! I hope you enjoyed watching the snow fall from the sky! I loved every single picture! What pure JOY!
I have been in the schoolhouse a ton over the break. Mr. Charles and his team have spent a great deal of time making sure classrooms and learning spaces are looking elite! I am very grateful for their hard work! Our staff was able to get into the building on Friday and begin preparations for tomorrow! We are excited to kick off 2018!
Please make sure that you are signed up for my REMIND, as well as the grade level REMINDS so you don't miss a beat! I have found some glitches with the REMIND and some parents have signed up for the one I use for teachers and staff. I have removed you from that REMIND, so please make sure you are still linked in to the one that is called BCMS Community. The link is at the bottom of this newsletter.

Notes from Ms. Raeburn
One word...blogging, Book SNAPS....Kindness Week...whole school field trip....cyber bullying platforms....taking a stand.... Those are some of the amazing things that we are working on at BCMS to make the second semester ELITE!
We are ExExExCited to welcome TWO new, ELITE teachers to our team! Ms. Lewis and Ms. Woods! Both are proud graduates of Georgia Southern. Ms. Lewis will be teaching in our Read 180 classroom and helping to support Reading across our schoolhouse and Ms. Woods will be joining our 8th grade team and teaching Physical Sciecne to our 8th grade scholars! Both have worked tremedoulsly hard over the break to get organized and prepared and we feel so lucky to have them part of the #BeBCMS family!
We are also pumped for Coach Scott as he becomes the Head Football Coach for Bryan County High School! He will remain our AMAZING Assistant Pricnipal and will seve in both roles! The future is looking bright for our BCMS and BCHS Scholar Athletes under his direction!
Please take some time to check out my new blog. Blogging has been something I have long thought about and with the push of my other principal colleagues in my PLN and educators across the country I have taken the plunge. Often times, I will link my blog thoughts into our #BeBCMS Community newsletter. I am excited to start this journey in 2018! The link is here: https://momentsinamiddleschool.blogspot.com/
Other notes:
As we begin second semester, I am ExExExCited to continue our Community "You Make A Difference" form! If there is a grown-up at BCMS who has made a significant difference in your child's life and/or middle school experience, I want to know about it! Pleae take a few minutes to share that on the form.
We truly have ELITE teachers at BCMS! There is no profession like teaching! The impact, influence, and change that we have in the schoolhouse and classrooms everyday is life changing! I am proud to work along side such dynamic and dedicated professionals who truly are here to grow scholars!
The form is below! Please take a minute to fill it out and recognize an adult who has positively impacted your child!
Thank you for being proactive and for supporting our school and our passion work! I am proud to be your principal and would love to hear from you! If you have a concern or a comment, please do not hesitate to email or call me: eraeburn@bryan.k12.ga.us or 912-626-5050 or 912.255.0630.
Welcome Mrs. Lewis!
Welcome Ms. Woods
Whatever I Need! WIN time
This week in WIN, we will be focusing on the One Word project. We have asked all staff and will work with all scholars in identifying a #OneWord that they want to focus on for 2018. You can read more about the world wide #OneWord project below. This is my sixth year doing the #OneWord project but the first year doing it with my own children! They are going to complete the lessons this week at home with me to figure out what their word will be. My word for 2018 is #Moments. I will be intentional in creating the most ELITE #Moments for our staff and scholars!
My Past #OneWords:
