The Academic Advisement Department has worked to compile a list of scholarship opportunities that range from elementary to high school. Below are the OCTOBER scholarship listings.

SCHOLARSHIP SEARCH ENGINES
There are so many free scholarship search engines available to students online you'll get about 7 million results by Googling "scholarship search" that it can be difficult to know which websites to use.
Which sites you choose is up to you, but in case you need some help with your decision making, below are a few good starting points.

FINANCIAL AID HELP SESSION DATES ANNOUNCED
The Fort Worth Independent School District, in conjunction with Tarrant County College and other District partners, will sponsor 2019 fall semester college financial aid sessions in October and November at most District high schools.
Assistance will be available in both English and Spanish to help parents and students with completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)/ Texas Application for State Financial Aid (TASFA) application.
All sessions will begin at 6 p.m. and conclude by 8 p.m. The OCTOBER schedule of aid sessions will take place at the following high schools:
Oct. 8 – Trimble Tech HS
Oct. 9 – South Hills HS
Oct. 10 – Carter-Riverside HS
Oct. 15 – Arlington Heights HS
Oct. 15 – Diamond Hill HS
Oct. 16 – Dunbar HS
Oct. 17 – Eastern Hills HS
Oct. 23 – Southwest HS
Oct. 29 – World Languages Institute
Oct. 29 – YWLA
Oct. 29 – Western Hills HS
Oct. 30 – Benbrook M-HS
Parents and students are encouraged to bring the following items to complete FAFSA/TASFA forms:
- Federal Student Aid PIN*
- Social Security number*
- Driver’s license number
- Tax records* — or use the IRS Data Retrieval Tool
- Records of untaxed income*
- Records of all assets (savings and checking account balances)
- List of the school(s) the student are interested in attending
Pre-registration is not required for any of these sessions, and students and their parents are welcome to attend as many of these events as they find helpful.
