Requirements for Food and Snacks:

  • Reduced Fat
  • Total Fat: Less than 35%
  • Saturated Fat: Less than 10%
  • Trans Fat: 0 grams
  • Sugars: Less than 35% of weight from total sugars
  • Calories: Snack items- Less than 200 calories, Entrees- Less than 350 calories
  • Sodium: Snack items- Less than 230 mg, Entrees- Less than 350 mg

How Will This Help?

By offering healthy choices at school, SPS will not only be providing healthy food to students but also encouraging them to make healthy choices of their own at home.
