Lake Hood Elementary

the Parent Teacher Conference Issue / February 2013

Principal's Message

Hello Lake Hood families!

Happy February! This month is so busy in our school that I know we are going to blink and it will be over! One of the most important items scheduled for this month is parent/teacher conferences on the 13th and 14th of February. Please make every effort to attend the conference at its scheduled time. These conferences are an opportune time to be able to sit down with your child/ren’s teacher(s) and touch bases with the progress being made this year. Teachers will be sharing data with you in reference to the child’s growth in reading and math. Remember, teachers and parents are better able to support student’s learning when they are working as a team. We are all out to meet the same goal, and that is success of all of the children at Lake Hood! Please remember that those are half days of school with dismissal at 12:30, and there is no school on Friday the 15th for in-service training. In addition, Monday the 1
th of February is a holiday in observance of President’s day
. We look forward to seeing all of you at conferences!
