HOW TO PREPARE
- Encourage your child to LISTEN, LISTEN, LISTEN to his/her solo day in and day out!
- Encourage your child to PERFORM for you at DIFFERENT times of the day
- Always encourage your child with positive comments, ex: Thank you for performing for me, I'm thankful you chose to play in front of me today; I'm hear improvement each day; I can see you are really focusing on your music; keep up the momentum of practicing!
- Plan your outfit (Dress Nice!) - Ladies, no skirts/dresses shorter than your knee (cello female players, only LONG skirts/dresses are acceptable)
SPRING ORCHESTRA FUNDRAISER HAS KICKED OFF!
Each Box of Pretzel Rods contains 60 pretzel rods.
Money is Due by February 23rd
[We are about $1,800 in fundraiser deficit which means our repair budget and opportunity to purchase new instruments is extremely down. This is a wonderful way to give back to the organization that your child is proud to be involved in. If you would prefer to make a $30 donation instead of participating in the fundraiser, that is also welcome!]
Those who sell one box will be invited to a late movie night at school - pj party, popcorn and more! Parents can digitally check out popcorn by filling this form out. Students have been given a hard copy of the form.
Thank you parents and students!
FIESTA TEXAS PAYMENT #3 COMING UP!
Please plan for the next payment scheduled for February 23rd
All balances should be at $40 by the end of February. Thank you!
INCIDENT on Wednesday, February 7th.
Students, there should NEVER be any student hanging out in the orchestra room or any other place in school without adult supervision. In our orchestra hall, when I am visibly NOT THERE, neither should you. I ask that all students follow our guiding principles from our handbook and never be inside our classroom without adult supervision.
For future references, I arrive to school at 7:45 and I am consistently unavailable on Wednesday and Thursdays afterschool. Please make necessary arrangements to pick up your instruments from your locker and head home on those days.
Thank you for your attention.
