PSTA Virtual Candidate Town Halls

It is just over one month until Election Day, and PSTA staff are hard at work ensuring you have the information you need before casting your ballot in November. Nearly 100 candidates have responded to the PSTA legislative candidate questionnaire. In addition, PSTA is continuing to host town hall conversations with candidates every weekday so you can learn more about their positions. The schedule for the week ahead is:

  • Monday, October 5th (4:00-4:30)- Michael Johnson, Senate 16, Lancaster and York Counties
  • Tuesday, October 6th (2:30-3:00)- William Dettmering, House 107, Horry County
  • Tuesday, October 6th (4:00-4:30)- Sam Skardon, Senate 41, Charleston and Dorchester Counties
  • Wednesday, October 7th (2:30-3:00)- Mandy Powers Norrell, House 44, Lancaster County
  • Wednesday, October 7th (4:00-4:30)- Ronee DeCanio, House 97, Calhoun, Lexington, and Orangeburg Counties
  • Thursday, October 8th (4:00-4:30)- Richard Hricik, Senate 43, Beaufort, Charleston, and Colleton Counties
  • Friday, October 9th (4:00-4:30)- Viresh Sinha, House 78, Richland County

Teacher Clothes Closet- Midlands Event

We are excited to announce a Teacher Clothes Closet event at our office on Monday, October 26, 2020, from 11:00 AM-6:00 PM. The event will be held in our back parking lot under tents to allow for social distancing. Plastic gloves and hand sanitizer will be available. Masks are required. This event is for any student majoring in education, as well as first-year teachers.
