A Message from the Principal...
Winter weather is finally here! Just a reminder we go out for recess as long as it “feels like” 10 degrees or above. Please be sure students are wearing warm coats, hats and gloves on those extra cold days.
Our students are doing really well with mask-wearing this week and hand-washing. Thank you parents for reinforcing this at home. We are optimistic that we can keep our Covid numbers low.
We are soon headed into “testing season”. Students will be taking NWEA starting this week, our English Language Learners will be taking WIDA, and we will begin our screening process for High Ability students in the coming weeks. IREAD will be in March and ILEARN is in April. We are excited to celebrate our student growth. We know great learning has occurred this year!

Next eLearning Day is February 9th
High Ability (FOCUS) Screening
Parents: Noblesville Schools relies on NWEA scores to identify students who achieve at exceptional levels for High Ability (FOCUS) instruction. To identify students with the potential for high achievement that is not reflected in NWEA scores, all students in kindergarten and second grade who are not already identified as High Ability in both math and English language arts will take an online screener called the Cognitive Abilities Test, or CogAT. Students who meet the benchmark on the screener will later take the remaining portions of the CogAT. All fifth graders who are not already identified as High Ability in both math and English language arts and who meet the benchmark will take the full CogAT without first taking the screener.
If you have questions about high ability testing and instruction, go to www.noblesvilleschools.org and click on Academics and then on High Ability. Questions may also be directed to the principal.
Chess Club - Jan. 18th-March 8th
Do your kids like chess? Are they interested in finding out about chess? Chess is a great tool to teach decision-making, mathematical reasoning, and logic. The locally famous Learning Through Games group has coached many state champion schools in Indiana. However, they are mostly known for their fun and child friendly style of teaching.
Great for all levels of play! Grades Kindergarten through 5th grade are invited!
